Privacy Policy
Dmvly: Driver Permit Test · Effective October 27, 2026
Dmvly is an Android app published by TNPixel ("we", "us"). The short version: your study progress stays on your phone. Dmvly has no account, no server of ours that stores your data, and no analytics. This policy lists what is processed and by whom.
What stays on your device
- Your chosen state and license type, answers, scores, streak, saved questions, test date, reminders, driving log, document checklists and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. We do not receive them and cannot read them.
- Read-aloud uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech engine.
- Reminders and the daily study reminder are local notifications scheduled on your phone.
- The driving log export is text you choose to share with another app. Dmvly does not upload it anywhere.
Services used by the app
- Google AdMob shows ads to free users. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location (from IP address) and usage data to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and similar regions you are asked for consent through Google's consent form. Premium removes ads. See Google's advertising policy.
- Google Play processes payments. We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to manage Premium. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase and subscription status and basic technical information (app version, device model, OS and country). We do not receive your name, email or payment details.
Permissions
- Internet: ads and purchases.
- Notifications: reminders you set and the optional daily study reminder.
Dmvly does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of our own.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Children
Dmvly is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Teens preparing for a learner permit should use the app with a parent or guardian.
Your choices and rights
- Delete all progress in More → Reset all progress, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your phone.
- Change ad consent in the consent form when it appears, and reset or limit your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions.
- Depending on where you live (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, UK GDPR and similar laws) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal data held about you. We hold no personal profile about you; for data held by Google or RevenueCat, contact them or write to us and we will help.
Not a government service
Dmvly is an independent study app and is not affiliated with any DMV, state agency or government. Practice questions are for study only.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app or on its Google Play page.
